I have finally ordered the Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ28 digital point and shoot camera . For nearly a year I had been eyeing the Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ18 and in august Panasonic came out with the FZ28.

Urban Terror STA season ends

The Capture the flag season finals ended with Clan Vex beating last season winners clan War Horses Gallop To A deadly beat. The game was intense and in the end Vex's teamwork prevailed over Horses's guns . Vex beat the horses 4-2 in two rounds, with the second round going into a nearly 20 minutes of extra time.

Games : Call Of Duty 4

I may be the last to join the COD4 bandwagon of this impressive FSP game . I have just started playing it and the game is intense fast and fun. No wonder it have won a ton of awards. The Graphics are great too. Of course I cant play it on high detail on 1280*1024 and I have a medium quality nvidia 8600gt.

If you have have never played the COD series the best tip would be never shoot from the hip. To increase you accuracy its best to aim down the sight. It takes time to learn to switch to the sights if you are new (like me) , on the other hand you can stay scoped down the sights as you cant move around well. The game can get campy at times with people constantly hide and wait , yes it might be a strategy but its no fun.

Another thing i love in the game is the death cam, basically it shows the person that killed you and how the player killed you. It also helps is spotting cheaters and preventing the "How the hell did he kill me" moment .


Over all the game is great , but I still have fun playing Urban Terror.

Diggnation is a weekly podcast by Kevin Rose and Alex Albrecht which discusses the top diggs from digg.com . They also end up discussing a lot about beer . This show also tends to give out lot of other useful information which you might hardly come accross . I like the way the whole show is presented as the hosts sit and comfertable couchs and drink while discussing diggs . The two of them tend to give real inbiased reviews as users of devices . They also at times debate over issues wihch give viewers an all round look at everthing they discuss . Over all it is a MUST see every week .

Urban Terror

Urban Terror is a stand alone mod of Quake 3. UrT as it is popularly called is a completely free FPS with great graphics and feel and it runs on Windows , Linux and a Mac too . Even though its nearly 8 years old now constant development by FrozenSands has kept this game alive . In fact where many of the old school players though the game is dying it is actually becoming more popular if you look at google trends below.



The nearly 8 year old game has all the standard requirements for an FPS . The range of guns evenly balanced out , there are other various other accessories one may carry includes grenades , night vision goggles etc. It comes packed with many levels and many many more by the community . The next version is said to have many more maps.

Where the game stands out : It tends more towards the non real physics but adding more fun and game play. One can grab on to fences , windows ledges to climb up or hop across . It also allows to perform wall jumps similar to what Mirror's Edge an upcoming game by DICE will have. One can reach unreal speeds by using Quake 3 infamous circle jump techniques. To see a few videos just look up "urban terror jumps" on you tube.

The hit detection is good not the best. Damage depends on which part of the body one gets hits on and the players ability to move or shoot depending if the person is hit on the arms or on the legs.

The community is dedicated and quite tight nit. I wont rate this game as i have been addicted to it since Dec 07.

Yesterday I decided to buy a few domain names . I wanted one for my personal use and one to start my own website about Games and geeky stuff thus after searching for various options i brought geekpwner.com .

Geek : an enthusiast or expert especially in a technological field or activity .

Pwner :someone who completely dominates other people, making them seem like nubs.

Personally I am not too geeky or a Uber pwner , but i like anything to do with geeks and games.
