World Of Goo
I decided to buy the game when it was at a 75% discount on Steam. The game is worth all the 5$ or even the 20$ original( well almost , maybe , 15$ would be great). Anyway the game is just great. Its basically the standard puzzle game with a physics engine. I took nearly 7 hours to finish the game but one can do it faster. And when you are finished with the game you can always try to build an infinite tower with all the extra goo balls you collected.
So basically this is a puzzle game where you generally build structures of goo balls(some are blocks) which usually connect to each other. There are a few levels where goo balls stand on top of each other. There are different kinds of balls or species as the game calls them. Some burn, some are fire resistant some reusable some fill with air to float etc. The challenges are to stay off dangerous objects and areas like spikes and blades. A few levels has a strong flow of air. All in all very nice to solve and play.
Although one can ignore the story I suggest you don't so , the story is portrayed very well and the game has excellent music. If you every get frustrated with any game you should just take a break and play WOG. It was my remedy to forget all the anger and hate generated by other games.
I shall give it 5/5 ;)
Here is a small video I recorded :)

Team Fortress 2 : Playing with Idiots
Well I apologize for the harsh language but in a a game with the word "team" in it playing with a few players who refuse to listen tends to piss me and a few other players I know.
Yes we were all noobs at some time , and believe me I dont despise a noob. In some senses I still am a noob and do stupid things. But such events make me mad. I love playing games and I play my games with a high level of enthusiam and get very vocal at times. By vocal I do not mean foul language rather I keep spamming information out to my team mates and many times will repeat the same line twice or thrice trying to make sure my team mates get the info. I get so involed in a game that at times when I am in a certain zone certain events in the game can pump me to feel my own heart beat.
Getting back to the point. While playing a game such as Team Fortress 2 where teamwork is important and the makers of the game have been brillant enough to provide voice in the game itself communication becomes very important. The ability to listen to your teammate or leading your team not only makes your team work better but also makes the game much more fun. Even if I am on the winning team but the players are silent I dont enjoy the game.Players who refuse to listen tend to spoil the game for others. When a pyro refuses to spycheck or an enigneer refuses to help other engineers or your team just wont push out and turtle inside or you have 4 or more of the same class the team generally looses. At times I join a server and see 5 spies or 7+ engineers and just leave.
Anyway I think I will be posting various tutorials for TF2 in the near future . Tricks I learned from others and by expreience.

Its been long
Its been too long frankly and things have changed. Unfortunately I cant rename my domain geeknoob.com. I was good at urban terror, no where near the best but I used to hold my own. Now I have moved on. I play a lot of Team Fortress 2 ((tf2) great game, you should try it) and been playing counter strike source(css) for the last two days and a little of Trackmania Nations Forever. The two game are nearly opposites in their game play and their skill requirements. The learning curve is too steep for CSS where as its much more forgiving for TF2. The number of hacks for the games are also on the opposite corner. For CSS half the servers I played in I felt half of the player were hackers, for TF2 i have just seen one hacker. Actually hacker is the wrong word to use, from now I will refer to these cardboard boxes for brains as cheaters . Simple is't it. Any way from now I play to get back to regular blogging about all things gaming.
